The Los Santos Police Department Explorer Program inspires youth ages 14 to 21 to pursue careers in law enforcement and public service by fostering discipline, leadership, teamwork, and community engagement. Through hands-on training, mentorship from experienced LSPD personnel, and participation in real-world service activities, participants learn about police procedures, ethics, and professionalism while building confidence and a strong sense of responsibility. The program also strengthens positive relationships between the Department and local youth, helping prepare motivated individuals for future entry-level opportunities in law enforcement or related fields.
A School Resource Officer (SRO) is a dedicated law enforcement officer assigned to USLA to ensure a safe and secure learning environment. They build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community while providing education on safety topics, serving as a mentor, and responding to emergencies. SROs bridge the gap between law enforcement and education, fostering trust and promoting a proactive approach to school safety.
